THE COTTAGES

You will enjoy complete family privacy in your own "home away from home" at the Brittany Cottages on Madeline Island. Brittany and Normandy Cottages are original to the property (circa 1913), and Burgundy Cottage began its life as the estates' power and pump station and was converted to a guest cabin in 1947. Brittany was originally the laundry building and included sleeping quarters for the laundress. Normandy was originally the garage and bunkhouse for the chauffeur. Pine Top Lodge is new, above the historically recreated Carriage House. Weather Watch, our newest deluxe suite for two only, was created in an original space and opened to guests three years ago. It has a huge deck and spectacular lake views. Perfect for special occasions..
All guests have the use of the entire grounds. That would include shuffleboard, bocce ball & croquet, beach, dock and a fire ring on the beach for bonfires. Everyone is welcome to relax and enjoy the sights, sounds, and aromas in the formal garden and take a break in the Tea House. The Main House and Deck are off limits.
For all you couch potatoes, and for entertaining kids when it rains, the cottages all have Dish TV, and are equipped with either a DVD or VCR.
All the kitchens in the cottages include stove, refrigerator, toaster, coffee pot, microwave, pots and pans, cooking utensils, china, glasses, and silverware.
