Burgundy Cottage
Right on the beach, twenty feet from the soothing surf of Lake Superior! Built in 1947, as the estate's pump house and power station, Burgundy has two bedrooms (both kings) and two baths. Living room has newer furniture, including a queen sized futon sleeper.
The living/dining room overlooks the lake and has a gas fireplace for heat and ambiance. Kitchen is very small but functions well with a complete remodel in 2007. The style is Northwoods and cheerful. Access is steep, but well worth the effort.
The small deck in the front with its four Adirondack chairs and hand carved Adirondack rails beckons you to enjoy the sunsets from the most spectacular cottage setting in the Northland. Lower bedroom unit is reached only by the outdoor staircase, and is unsuitable for children under 12 unless there is an adult sleeping with them.
Burgundy Cottage is comfortable for 4, can sleep 6.
Burgundy Cottage rents for $245.00 per night.
